FORT DODGE – A Fort Dodge teen is facing kidnapping and other charges in connection to double-murder incident that took place last year.

Throughout the investigation into the double homicide that occurred on June 16, 2020 investigators spoke with many individuals regarding the events that unfolded that morning. The investigation led investigators down many different paths, continuing to reveal new information as they pushed forward. From that information it was determined that other individuals were involved in criminal activity around the time the homicides occurred.

As the investigation unfolded, it was determined that a male bystander was attempting to flee the area at the time of the shooting. As this male was fleeing, another male attached himself to the hood of his vehicle and held him at gunpoint demanding him to drive out of the area. After driving a short distance, the male removed himself from the hood of the vehicle and fled on foot.

From the information gathered into this portion of the early morning hours of June 16, 2020, 18-year-old Isiah C. Mosley of Fort Dodge has been arrested and charged with the following:

• Kidnapping in the Second Degree (B Felony)
• Felon in Possession of a Firearm (D Felony)

Mosley is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court on Friday, March 5 at 9:00 A.M. As with all cases, Mr. Mosley is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Fort Dodge Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident and anyone with information is encouraged to contact law enforcement. The Fort Dodge Police Department was assisted in the arrest by the Webster County Sheriff’s Office.
