UNI Athletics announces football fan attendance plans

CEDAR FALLS – UNI Athletics today announced the plan for fan attendance for the UNI-Dome beginning with the season opener on Feb. 19 against South Dakota State.

The current plan includes six feet of separation between ticketed pods and allocates room for players’ families, students and the Panther Marching Band. Based on these restrictions, the capacity for game day will be 2,715, around 15%. There will be 350 student tickets in the allotment.

Because of the high number of season ticket holders, there will be no single-game ticket sales at the current capacity. The current attendance percentage will be reevaluated regularly throughout the remainder of the season.

A member of the Panther Scholarship Club will be in touch with all season ticket holders regarding seating via email. For any questions please call the PSC office at 319-273-2468.

Fans will be required to wear their face coverings at all times unless they are sitting at their seats and eating or drinking, they are asked to return their masks as soon as they finish eating or drinking.

Fans are asked to review their seat locations. They will not be the same as last season due to physical distancing measures.

Student seats are available via a UNI ID at the door and are on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will enter from the Hall of Fame connector which is between the UNI-Dome and McLeod Center.

Tailgating will not be allowed, but UNI will reevaluate regularly throughout the remainder of the season. The UNI-Dome lot is reserved for Panther Scholarship Club members. Please review this map for all parking availability.

Doors will open 60 minutes before kickoff. Season ticket holders and suite holders can use the NW and SW dome entrances. The student entrance will be the south doors of the dome. Home and visiting pass list, will call and media pass list will all be located in the Hall of Fame Connector between the UNI-Dome and the McLeod Center.

The Panthers kickoff the season against South Dakota State in a matchup between Top-5 programs at 7 p.m. on Feb. 19. The two teams have split the last eight meetings. UNI prevailed over South Dakota State 13-10 in the second round of the FCS playoffs in the last meeting.
