CHARLES CITY – A Charles City teen was cited after a $10,000 auto accident.
The Charles City police department says an accident took place on January 22, 2021. At about 8:50 AM that morning, officers were sent to the 1800 block of Owen Street where a gray 2008 Mercury Milan that was operated by 16-year-old Nicolas Prior of Charles City was traveling east on Owen Street when it collided with a legally parked and unoccupied gray 2018 Ford F-150.
As a result of the crash, police say there was $10,000 in damages. Police cited Prior for failure to maintain control and no insurance. There were no injuries reported.
