Women’s College Basketball:  Iowa 94, Minnesota 68

MINNEAPOLIS – Iowa scored a Big Ten road victory Sunday, defeating Minnesota in Williams Arena 94-68.

The Iowa Hawkeyes (10-4, 6-4) defeated Minnesota (4-7, 5-8) for the second time this season and fifth-straight contest over the Gophers.  Four Hawkeyes scored in double figures, including junior Monika Czinano (23), freshman Caitlin Clark (22), and sophomores McKenna Warnock and Gabbie Marshall with 11 points each.

Clark recorded her fifth double-double of the season, posting 22 points and 11 assists, and Warnock posted her third of the season – fifth career – with 11 points and 10 rebounds

As a team, the Hawkeyes recorded 28 assists, breaking the season-high for the second consecutive game.

Freshman Caitlin Clark broke onto the Iowa freshmen all-time scoring list 1:20 into the first quarter and now ranks seventh, tallying 354 points on the season and passing former Hawkeye Megan Gustafson (252).

Former Mason City Mohawk Megan Meyer played 14:05 of the game and scored 4 points with 4 assists and no turnovers.

Iowa next heads to Columbus, Ohio, to take on the Buckeyes inside Schottenstein Center on Thursday, Feb. 4. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m. (CT) on Big Ten Network.
