Manly police investigating bomb threat that shuttered schools for Friday

MANLY, IOWA – Manly police are investigating a bomb threat that shuttered schools for Friday.

Thursday evening, January 28, 2021, at approximately 9 PM, the Central Springs School District became aware of a bomb threat made to the safety and students at Central Springs schools by an individual(s) on the live chat line of the school district’s YouTube channel.

Law enforcement agencies are involved to investigate this threat and to assure all school campuses are safe.

Due to the timing of this incident, the ongoing investigation, and as a precaution, all classes at all Central Springs School District buildings are canceled for Friday, January 29.
