Reynolds, seated, and others clap after bill signed this morning.

DES MOINES – Today Governor Kim Reynolds signed S.F. 160 at the Iowa State Capitol, giving Iowa parents the option to send their kids back to school full time.

Reynolds signed SF 160 in the Iowa State Capitol Rotunda this morning at 11 AM, surrounded by supporters and some children.

“Just signed legislation into law giving parents the option to send their child back to school full time!” Reynolds tweeted after she signed the bill.

Earlier, Reynolds tweeted, “It’s time to put local control in the hands of our parents!”

Some fear the spread of Covid-19 in schools with more children attending.
