College Wrestling: No. 20 UNI beaten by No. 9 MIZZOU, 34-6

AMES – Brody Teske and Carter Isley each earned wins to bookend the dual, but Missouri won the rest of the bouts to earn a 34-6 neutral-site win Sunday at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.

Teske faced Connor Brown, both are ranked in the FloWrestling Top-25. The dual was a back and forth battle, but Teske tied the bout with a takedown in the final seconds to force sudden-victory. He picked up another takedown in the overtime to earn the 12-10 win.

Kyle Biscoglia controlled most of his bout at 133 against No. 14 Matt Schmitt, but Schmitt picked up two takedowns in the final period to earn the 4-3 win.

After MIZZOU earned a tech fall at 141, Triston Lara battled to the final whistle with No. 3 Brock Mauller but fell 5-3.

The Tigers won the next five bouts and earned bonus points in four leading up to the bout at 285.

MIZZOU’s Zach Elam came into the bout ranked eighth with Isley ranked 10th. Isley earned a takedown in the middle of the second period and an escape in the third to earn the 3-2 win. His second over a Top-15 opponent this season.

UNI was originally scheduled to face Arizona State as well, but the dual was canceled because of positive COVID-19 tests in the ASU program.
