College Softball: Iowa adds Fort Dodge’s Doster to 2021 recruiting class

IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa softball team announced the addition of Tristin Doster to the 2021 class, head coach Renee Gillispie announced Monday.

Doster joins 10 other softball signees and is the first Fort Dodge, Iowa, native to join the Hawkeye softball team since Mallory Killian in 2015.

Doster is a career .415 batter and two-time first-team all-state honoree as a four-year starter. In 145 starts, Doster has 153 RBIs, 151 runs scores, 56 doubles, and 25 home runs.

She guided Fort Dodge to state in three straight seasons, finishing as the Class 5A state runner-up in 2020.
