WEBSTER CITY – A tipster tattled on a Webster City drug deal, leading to the arrest of two women and a house search.
On November 6, 2020, a phone call was made to the Webster City Police Department to report what appeared to be a narcotics transaction in the 900 block of Walnut Street. The callers identified a suspect vehicle and gave the police department a direction of travel. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at Doc’s Stop on Closz Drive. The occupants of the vehicle consented to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the discovery of eight (8) grams of Methamphetamine and over $6,000 in cash. The occupants of the vehicle were identified as 37-year-old Jessica Clipperton and 33-year-old Amber Miller.
Jessica Clipperton was charged with:
• Possession with the Intent to Deliver/Manufacture Methamphetamine (over 5 grams), Class B Felony
• Enhancement for Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver/Manufacture within 1,000 Feet of a School, 5-Year Imprisonment Enhancement
• Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Class D Felony
• Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Serious Misdemeanor
• Driving While License Suspended, Simple Misdemeanor
Amber Miller was charged with:
• Possession with the Intent to Deliver/Manufacture Methamphetamine (over 5 grams), Class B Felony
• Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, Class D Felony
As a result of the information gathered during the traffic stop, a search warrant was applied for and executed at 943 Walnut Street in Webster City. Additional charges will be filed as a result of findings at the search warrant.
