AMES – Iowa State won its third straight game this season, beating Texas Tech 31-15 Saturday in Jack Trice Stadium.
No. 24 Iowa State (3-1, 3-0 Big 12), currently tied for first in the Big 12 defeated Texas Tech (1-3, 0-3 Big 12) Saturday in a home game. The Cyclones have never lost to the Red Raiders in the Matt Campbell era, as Campbell has now won all five matchups.
The Cyclone offense went over 500 yards for the first time this season. Iowa State running back Breece Hall scored two touchdowns on the day. Iowa State fell behind 7-0 but a Hall score tied the contest and Iowa State never looked back.
Brock Purdy passed for over 300 yards passing (302) for the 10th time in his career, the most in school history.
