CHARLES CITY – A wanted Mason City man was arrested after a police investigation in Charles City.
On September 20, 2020 at 12:28 AM, officers with the Charles City police department went to the 600 block of South Main Street to investigate a possible theft at a business. As a result, 28-year-old Lavelle Tyrone Lane of Mason City was arrested for public intoxication and interference with official acts as well as an active Floyd county warrant for a charge of public intoxication brought by Charles City police back on June 27.
Lane, a convicted felon on drug charges from years ago, remains jailed in Floyd county at this time, awaiting court proceedings on these charges and a drug possession charge brought in August by Charles City police.
