CHARLES CITY – A Charles City woman was cited after a Monday auto accident.
Police were called on Monday, September 7 at about 8:07 AM to the intersection of Gilbert Street and South Johnson Street to investigate a two-vehicle accident. Police say a 2014 Ram van driven by 57-year-old Forrest Drake of Sheffield was slowing for turning traffic when a 2012 Jeep Compass driven by 53-year-old Lori Estlund of Charles City struck Drake’s Ram in the rear. Police estimate damage from the collision to be around $6,000.
Estlund was cited for failure to maintain control.
