MacNider Museum’s 2020 “Intergalactic Art” MacNider Arts Festival and Outdoor Art Market will be online this year

MASON CITY – The Charles H. MacNider Art Museum is excited to announce that the 2020 “Intergalactic Art” MacNider Arts Festival and Outdoor Art Market will be online events this year. The online events will be on August 27, 28, and 29 with several hours of content each day.  

The art projects the MacNider Arts Festival has become known for will be continued this year but in a new way. There will be Festival Kits available on Monday, August 24 – ready for pick up – at several locations in the area. There is no charge for the kits and project tutorial videos will be posted as part of the online content. Kits are first come, first served. Please take only what you need and leave the rest for others. Locations for kit pickups are: MacNider Art Museum, Mason City Public Library, Clear Lake Arts Center, Clear Lake Public Library, and the Nora Springs Public Library / Nora Springs City Hall.

There will also be a MacNider Online Art Market. Several artists will be displaying their techniques and artwork through videos and picture slideshows. There will also be additional information on how to contact each artist and purchase their work.
