IOWA CITY – Iowa prison inmate Timothy Leroy Douglas was pronounced dead due to natural causes at 5:17 p.m. yesterday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He passed away from a long illness (not related to COVID-19). Douglas was 58 years old at the time of his death.
Douglas had been serving a 25-year maximum sentence for the crime of Robbery 1st Degree (and other crimes) from Polk County. His incarceration began on September 30, 2004.
