BURLINGTON – A convicted Iowa murderer died in captivity Wednesday morning.
Everett Roy Lyon was pronounced dead due to natural causes at 3:58 AM this morning at the Great River Medical Center where he had been sent for a suspected heart attack. Lyon was 71 years old at the time of his death.
Lyon had been serving a life sentence for the crime of Murder 1st Degree from Marshall County. His incarceration began on April 10, 1979.
