Mason City police charge “Breezy” with tattoo crimes

MASON CITY – A young tattoo artist known as “Breezy” has been charged with crimes in his profession in Mason City.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the Mason City Police Department arrested Ian Daniel McIntire a.k.a “Breezy”, age 20, from Mason City, IA. McIntire was charged with 7 counts of Unlawful Tattooing of a person under 18 and Unlawful Operation of a Tattoo Establishment without a Permit. All charges are a serious misdemeanor.

McIntire was also charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct a class “B” felony. McIntire is currently being held on a $25,000.00 bond at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.

The Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health recommends that anyone receiving a tattoo from someone who is not licensed should see their physician for HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C testing.

The investigation of McIntire is ongoing. Anyone with further information is encouraged to contact the Mason City Police Department.
