MADISON, WI – Iowa’s senior point guard from Mason City, Mackenzie Meyer, helped Iowa complete a big comeback and beat Wisconsin Sunday night, 85-78.
The Hawkeyes (15-3, 6-1) have won 21 consecutive games over the Badgers, dating back to the 2006-07 season.
Three Hawkeyes scored in double figures, including senior Makenzie Meyer (22), senior Kathleen Doyle (21), and sophomore Monika Czinano (20).
Sophomore Monika Czinano led the Hawkeyes in the fourth quarter with 12 points, shooting 4-for-4 from the field and 4-for-5 from the free-throw line.
The Hawkeyes recorded a season-low 10 turnovers.
