IOWA CITY – Iowa beat #17 Maryland Friday in a Big Ten home game, 66-61, led by Mackenzie Meyer’s 20 points.
The Hawkeyes have won 29 consecutive home games, ranking second in the country behind Baylor.
The Hawkeyes 66-61 win over the Terps is third straight over Maryland and Iowa’s first ranked-opponent win this season.
Three Hawkeyes scored in double figures, including former Mason City Mohawk and senior Makenzie Meyer (20), Kathleen Doyle (20), and Alexis Sevillian (15).
Doyle and Meyer combined for 41 of Iowa’s 66 points, while Sevillian tallied a season-high 15 points.
Senior Amanda Ollinger recorded a career-high eight blocks.
