WORTH COUNTY – Three people were arrested in Worth county after they were stopped by law enforcement and a drug dog caught them with meth.
At approximately 12:22 AM on December 27, 2019 a deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration near 675 475 Street in rural Northwood. During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy was assisted by Chief Deputy Luther and K9 Titan who indicated the presence of narcotics. After further investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Kyria Bautista Roldan of Lake Mills, Iowa, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine- 1st offense, driving while barred, interference with official acts and failure to provide proof of insurance. A passenger of the vehicle, identified as Wanda Rodriguez Cartagena of Lake Mills, Iowa, was arrested and charged possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine- 1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. A second passenger in the vehicle identified as Ricardo Garcia of Albert Lea, Minnesota, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine- 1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
