
CORVALLIS, OREGON – Iowa State dropped a road contest to Oregon State on Saturday, 80-74.
Oregon State, of the PAC-12 conference, led 43-34 at halftime. A a 15-0 Beaver run was decisive in the game as 3-point shooting 7-11 helped out.
Iowa State (1-1, 0-0) got within 4 points in the second half, but could not catch up.
George Conditt IV for Iowa State was 6-7 shooting for 14 points. Tyrese Haliburton scored 15 second-half points after scoring 0 in the first half.
Iowa State owns a 2-1 edge in the all-time series against Oregon State, winning games in Corvallis (2007) and Ames (2008). ISU is now 93-93 all-time against current members of the Pac-12 Conference.
Iowa State next plays Northern Illinois on November 12 at 7 p.m. in Hilton Coliseum.
