Armed Minnesota man caught with drugs and paraphernalia in Worth county

RURAL WORTH COUNTY – An Albert Lea man was caught with drugs, paraphernalia and a long knife during a traffic stop late Wednesday night.

On July 24, 2019 at approximately 11:46 PM, a deputy with the Worth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 1998 Honda Accord at the intersection of Highway 105/Mallard Ave.

As a result of the investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted. Located during the search were pipes used for smoking marijuana and methamphetamine, marijuana, methamphetamine, and a large knife located on the driver’s person.

Rodney Anderson, age 55 of Albert Lea was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana)(Class D Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)(Class D Felony) and Carrying Weapons (Serious Misdemeanor).

DA! Why are so many out of county residents arrested for drug possession in worthless county – Answer could be we have at least 1 drug kingpin in worth county and possibly 30 helpers – nothing new – been going on since late 90’s.

I wish everyone who does meth would drive through worth county. they seem to get em alot of the time. how can cerro gordo get all its tweakers into worth for their effective law enforcement to handle? our pd just lets them fly around on stolen bikes looking just like skeletons with droopy flesh stretched thin. Armed? with a large knife…. who gives a shit?
