NORTHWOOD – An Albert Lea man may be accused of purse snatching at Worth county’s Diamond Jo Casino after a search warrant was executed at his house.

On March 25th 2019 the Worth County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a theft of a purse from the Country Inn which is attached to Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood. The victim reported that she was leaving the hotel and had her hands full and set her purse on the ground then got in her vehicle and left forgetting her purse. A short while later you can see a Silver Pontiac Bonneville 4 door pull up to the purse and a single occupant gets out and pick up the purse. That single occupant then enters the Diamond Jo casino where it is discovered his identity as 40-year-old Christopher Darwin Busall from Albert Lea, Minnesota.

On March 26, 2019 with help from the Albert Lea Police Department a search warrant was executed at Busall’s residence. There were items found at the residence that linked Busall to the crime in Worth County. At this time the case is still under investigation and charges are pending for Busall.
