MASON CITY – An auto accident with minor injuries was reported in rural Mason City early Thursday.
On February 28 at approximately 7:15 AM, a 2012 Chevrolet Impala being operated by 58-year-old Tammy Waddington of Clear Lake had stopped at the intersection of Highway 65 and County Road B-20. A 2008 Ford Taurus being operated by 47-year-old Wesley Womack of Scarville was traveling in the same direction and was unable to stop due to slippery road surface conditions behind the Waddington vehicle. The Womack vehicle then bumped into the rear of the Waddington vehicle. The impact caused minor damage to the Waddington vehicle. Mason City Ambulance responded to evaluate possible injuries to Waddington. Waddington was not transported to the Hospital at this time. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Mason City Fire Department.
