MASON CITY – For the second straight season, the NIACC women’s soccer team has a first-team all-NJCAA Region XI selection.
Sophomore forward Jessica Altman earned first-team all-region honors in 2018 after scoring eight goals with three assists. Altman helped lead the Lady Trojans to a record of 6-7-1 overall and 4-4-1 in the ICCAC.
Altman totaled 11 goals and six assists in her two-year career with the Lady Trojans.
The six wins by the Lady Trojans in 2018 is the most in school history.
NIACC sophomore midfielder Kirrilly Hughes was a second-team all-region selection. Hughes, who was an honorable mention all-region selection as a freshman, collected six assists in her sophomore campaign.
Hughes scored two goals with six assists in her two-year career.
Also for the Lady Trojans, freshman defender Michaela Elford and freshman midfielder Rose Priestley were honorable mention all-region picks. Elford scored three goals and Priestley had two goals and four assists.
