Cerro Gordo Health Department to host Saturday flu clinic

MASON CITY — The Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health will host a flu clinic this Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 9:00AM to Noon located in the Liberty Room on the first floor of Mohawk Square (22 N Georgia Ave, Mason City).

“Saturday flu clinics are a convenient way for individuals who don’t have the opportunity to attend our standard weekly or evening flu clinics to still get vaccinated,” said Bethany Bjorklund, Immunization Nurse at the Cerro Gordo County Department of Public Health. “We strive to make our services available for all residents to further protect our community from the flu.”

The Health Department will be offering the following types of flu vaccine:

  • Flu Shot  $35
  • 65 and older Flu Shot  $65
  • Pneumovax  $127
  • Prevnar 13  $224

The Health Department accepts most major health insurances.  With insurance, no money is collected at the time of the vaccination; services are billed directly to insurance. Any remaining balance is billed to the client after insurance has paid for its portion of the service.

For more information about the flu vaccine, please call (641) 421-9300 or visit our website at www.cghealth.com.
