
ACKLEY, IOWA – Police are searching for a Northern Iowa man after he allegedly burst into his ex girlfriend’s house, proclaiming he’ll “kill you all!”
At approximately 4:10 AM on Saturday, Sept 29th, 2018, Ackley, Iowa police were dispatched to deal with an intruder who had broken into a house in the 100 block of Butler Street in Ackley in an alleged attempt to make contact with a recently separated girlfriend and their child. The Suspect was met inside by an armed resident who advised him at gunpoint that the police had been called and that he needed to leave. The man allegedly threatened everyone inside with the statement, “I am going to ******* kill you all! , as he fled the residence.
No one in the home was injured.
The suspect was gone when police arrived, but witnesses at the scene identified him as Michael Lee Thompson, age 38, of Bradford, Iowa. Arrest Warrants were requested on Thompson, who was charged with Burglary 1st Degree (Class B felony); Criminal Mischief 4th Degree (Serious Misdemeanor): Criminal Trespass Injury or Damage greater than $200 (Serious Misdemeanor); and Violation of a No Contact/Protective Order (Simple Misdemeanor).
