MASON CITY – A Mason City woman lost her life in auto-motorcycle crash in a residential neighborhood late Friday night.
Mason City police say that on September 28, 2018, at approximately 11:00 PM, a motor vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of 15th Street and S. Pennsylvania. Brandon Kellar age 40, of Mason City, was driving a motorcycle westbound on 15th Street SE. when he struck the rear end of Pontiac G6 as it was making a left turn onto S. Pennsylvania. The Pontiac was driven by Amy Legler, age 48, also of Mason City.
Shawn True, age 36, of Mason City was a passenger on Kellar’s motorcycle. Ms. True was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Mr. Kellar was transported by ambulance to Mercy for his injuries.
Ms. Legler was uninjured.
The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
Assisting with the investigation is the Cerro Gordo Sheriffs Office, Iowa State Patrol, and Mason City Fire Department.
