One thing poor people do more than any other group is breed. With scant jobs around the area Mason City down the road will become a welfare city. All that made MC a viable economic power is gone. it will be subtle at first then one day a long over due reality will set in. It has all the trapping of a inner city being borne. Maybe it’s it destiny. But if a nationwide hardship occurs, watch out. It will be hit harder then a bed bug with a shoe. That mall would make an ideal place for a outreach program filled with various services for the homeless and the poor. But that wouldn’t be no fun, would it. City Hall should be so lucky being so close by. And the court house too. Sidewalk traffic will be booming. Just like the good ‘ole days except without the money.
Thanks Robin.
