BUTLER COUNTY – A frisky feline caused a Parkersburg teen to lose control of his Malibu, send his sled tumbling into a ditch.

Nicholas Grill was traveling eastbound on Highway 57 in Butler county when he lost control of 2004 Chevy Malibu as he turned around to try to control an unrestrained cat, the Iowa State Patrol says. The Malibu dropped off the road onto the right shoulder and Grill over-corrected, and the car entered the right ditch and rolled, coming to rest upright.

Grill, age 17 of Parkersburg, was injured as a result of the crash. He was transported to Grundy Cty Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

Assisting the Iowa State Patrol was Applington police, Parkersburg EMS, Aplington EMS, Parkersburg Fire, and Mcdivitt’s Towing.
