WADENA, IOWA – A Missouri man perished during a high-speed chase when cops chased him into a Northern Iowa town and he crashed.
The incident took place Saturday morning, July 14 at about 1:45 AM in Wadena, Iowa. A Fayette county deputy became involved in a high speed pursuit with a 2008 black Kia Spectra, operated by 28-year-old Jared Hill of Jefferson City, Missouri. He drove northbound on Mills Street into Wadena and crossed the center line into the on-coming lane and the shoulder. He then struck an unoccupied, legally-parked 2007 Dodge Ram head-on. A report from the Iowa State Patrol indicated Hill was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. He was later pronounced dead.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by Fayette county sheriff’s office and Wadena Fire Department.
This should happen more often. Save us a lot of money.
sounds to me like it was a “suicide by cop”
