Man wanted on warrants in 3 counties chased by police in Charles City

CHARLES CITY – A man wanted on warrants in 3 counties was chased by police in Charles City this week and brought to jail.

The incident unfolded on ay 23, 2018, when at about 4:45 PM, Charles City police assisted deputies with the Floyd county sheriff’s office at the 100 block if 5th Avenue. Tristan Hillhouse, age 32 of Charles City, was fleeing on foot from law enforcement before he was ultimately caught and arrested. Police say he was wanted on warrants out of Floyd, Bremer and Cerro Gordo counties.

Hillhouse was charged with interference with official acts.  He immediately pled guilty, records show, costing him $397.50 in fines and court fees.

Hillhouse had been charged in Bremer county with burglary back in 2017 and ultimately convicted and put on probation. He’s accused of violating that probation, leading to the active arrest warrant from there.
