GARNER – Police rushed to a Garner home Friday night after a report of an assault with a weapon.
On Friday, May 4, 2018, at approximately 9:01 PM, Garner Police Officers, Hancock County Deputies, a Britt Police Officer, a Kanawha Police Officer, a DNR Officer, Iowa State Patrol, and the Special Operations Group responded to 315 Grove Avenue in Garner, Iowa in reference to a domestic dispute.
Garner Police Chief Tim Dodge says that Scott Hennings was taken into custody at 10:32 PM and was charged with domestic abuse assault with a weapon. No injuries were reported, according to Chief Dodge.
Hennings remained in the Winnebago county jail Saturday, awaiting a court appearance.
