CHARLES CITY – Voters in Floyd county gave a big thumbs-up to build a new jail and renovations at the county courthouse.
The May 1 Bond Referendum – Unofficial Results – passed 68.72%, according to the Floyd county auditor’s office.
The county has been seeking better accommodations for years. Back in 2014, things got so bad there that Floyd County Sheriff Rick Lynch (since retired) declared that due to liability and cost concerns, inmates would be sent to the Mitchell county jail. The move could have cost some jailers and employees their jobs, but adjustments were made at the jail to get by until a solution could be found.
The county will build a new jail west of the courthouse with up to 32 beds inside and make some modernizations to the courthouse.
I would rather be a truthful racist which is a liberal bogus farce than a low life liberal ratsazz. The liberal spread the crime by the democraps has finally been put out in the open. Chicago is a cesspool and little chitcago (Charley city) seems to prove that fact.
Charles City is almost dead. Talked to some older folks from there the other day. They seemed embarrassed to still live there very sad what it has become.

now they need to go to Cook County and look at their jail and model it after that, that may most of the immates will feel right at home.,
They need a new jail for all the Imports from Chitcago.
