MASON CITY – Absentee ballots are now available for the April 10th special countywide election. That election will fill a vacancy in the office of Cerro Gordo County Auditor and in addition (Dirksen unopposed), voters in the unincorporated area of the county will vote on a 7% hotel motel tax.
An eligible voter may vote an absentee ballot at the county auditor’s office or submit a written request for a ballot to be mailed to the voter.
Requests should be addressed to the County Auditor, 220 N Washington Ave, Mason City IA 50401, and must include the voter’s name, date of birth, address, driver’s license number, non-operator ID number or voter ID PIN number, signature, and the name or date of the election.
Regular courthouse hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
