Iowa Falls men busted with meth, driving illegally near Mason City

MASON CITY – Two men from Iowa Falls were caught prowling near Mason City, driving illegally and toting the illegal drugs marijuana and methamphetamine.

Early Sunday morning, January 28, 2018 at bout 1:52 AM, a Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle driven by a suspended driver, 25-year-old Cody Lee Hansen of Iowa Falls, just south of Mason City on Highway 65. The vehicle allegedly had a bad brake light and an insufficient number of headlamps. During the traffic stop and subsequent investigation, Hansen was arrested for driving while suspended. The investigation also allegedly uncovered illegal marijuana, 1-5 grams of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia belonging to a passenger, 23-year-old Alex David Hansen, also of Iowa Falls. He was arrested on those drug charges.

Both men were taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail. Cody Hansen remains held there on bond, awaiting a court appearance.
