MASON CITY – An Ankeny man accused of drunk driving in Cerro Gordo county was jailed after he skipped a court hearing.
Mason City police stopped a driver suspected of being impaired on Monday, November 27 at about 11:30 PM near the 100 block of 1st Street SE. As a result, the driver was arrested on a charge of operating while under the influence. Taken to jail was 21-year-old Devin Felipe Ledesma of Ankeny. He was soon released, pending a court date.
Ledesma failed to appear on December 27 for an arraignment hearing, leading to a warrant for his arrest. He turned himself into the county jail the next day. He is being held now on $1,000.00 bond as he awaits a court appearance.
