The NIACC Performing Arts and Leadership Series Proudly Presents Mr. Popper’s Penguins

MASON CITY – The NIACC Performing Arts and Leadership Series proudly presents Mr. Popper’s Penguins at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14th, 2018. This presentation is part of the 2017-2018 Performing Arts and Leadership Series for the 20th Anniversary Season.

Painter and decorator by day, Mr. Popper spends his time dreaming of Antarctic adventures. He is astounded when one day a packing crate arrives on his doorstep and a penguin waddles out!

With original songs and performing penguin puppets, this delightful, 60-minute action-packed musical adaptation of Richard and Florence Atwater’s award-winning book (also made into a Hollywood film starring Jim Carrey) is the perfect family treat for ages 4-104!

Mr. Popper’s Penguins is based on the book by Richard and Florence Atwater, and adapted for the stage by Pins and Needles Productions. The music is by Luke Bateman, with lyrics by Richy Hughes. This production is produced by Casa Manana by arrangement with Kelly Wax Family Entertainment and TC Beech.
