MASON CITY – A Mason City woman is guilty of her second drunk driving offense this year.
Mason City police arrested 27-year-old Britny Wanita Lynn Brand on September 21 for on a charge of second-offense operating while intoxicated. In November, she entered a guilty plea to that crime and was sentenced to 180 days in jail with all but 173 suspended. She must pay $2,713.25 in fines and court fees, and her license is suspended.
On May 9, Mason City police took a traffic complaint on the evening of at about 10:33 PM that evening. Officers were dispatched and soon located the suspect vehicle near 19th Street SW and Taft Avenue. After an investigation, the driver, Brand, was arrested. She was charged with operating while under the influence and open container of alcohol. She was later guilty of first-offense operating while under the influence. She as sent to jail for 2 days and was ordered to pay $2025.50 in fines and court fees.

How did she get her license back so fast. People like her just don’t seem to learn. If she isn’t stopped the next thing we will see is she killed a innocent person.

Second time she was guilty of drunk driving. Lord only knows how many times the offense was committed, that she wasn’t caught.
