RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A speeding Missouri driver racing through Cerro Gordo county was stopped and arrested for drunk driving.
Friday afternoon, November 10, a Cerro Gordo county deputy spotted a speeding driver near the 188 mile marker, northbound, on Interstate 35 in rural Cerro Gordo county. During the stop and subsequent investigation, the driver, 44-year-old Darrin Joseph Boomershine of Blur Springs, Missouri, was found to have an open container of alcohol. Boomer shine was then arrested for speeding, open container and first-offense operating while intoxicated.
Boomershine was taken to the county jail, booked and held until his release, pending a court date set for November 21.
