MASON CITY – A ruptured gas line in Mason City Tuesday night caused a service disruption for Alliant Energy customers.
According to a spokesman from Alliant Energy, “the hit last night affected about 25 customers. Our crews were able to make repairs and get everyone back on already.”
A contractor hit the line while doing work in the area, NIT is told. The line was ruptured near 7th Street SW and Washington Avenue. Crews worked into the late night hours to repair the line and make contact with residents.
