Wisconsin woman nabbed with stolen car after gas station drive-off

Roberts taken into custody in Mason City
MASON CITY – A Wisconsin woman was nabbed in a stolen car after police were notified of a drive-off from a Mason City gas station.

Local law enforcement tells NIT that the incident unfolded Wednesday, October 11 around 1:53 PM, when a Yes Way gas station in Mason City reported a drive-off (theft). Mason City police put out an attempt to locate on the suspect vehicle. A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped the car and, according to a source at the scene, the driver was taken into custody at gunpoint. The source says “12+ squad cars from three different agencies” were involved.

After an investigation was conducted, the driver was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle out of Wisconsin and theft charges. Taken to jail was Jennifer Roberts, age 26 of Green Bay, Wisconsin, on charges of fifth-degree theft and felony second-degree theft.

Roberts remains in the Cerro Gordo county jail awaiting a court appearance.
