NASHUA, IOWA – A Nashua man convicted this year of assault with intent to commit sex abuse was arrested recently for failing to comply with the sec offender registry.
Bremer county sheriff’s deputies arrested 36-year-old Antoine Simpson on September 15 for failing to comply with the state’s sex offender registry. Simpson was convicted in April of this year on two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse for a crime he committed in Bremer county.
Simpson is also accused of violating the sex offender registry in Chickasaw county.
Simpson was earlier given a suspended 2-year prison sentence and must submit to random drug/alcohol testing and sex offender treatment for his sex crime offenses.
