Milwaukee man charged with felony theft of car in Mason City

MASON CITY – A Milwaukee, Wisconsin man was picked up in Storm Lake by police after he tried to rip off a dealership on a car deal, and police learned he tried the same thing in Mason City.

Timothy Litt, age 23 of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, allegedly went to an auto dealership in Storm Lake, Iowa, on July 10.  According to KICD radio, Litt used a credit car to buy a 2004 Infinity.  The dealership soon found out the credit card was bad, and after police were notified, they discovered that Litt was also wanted in Mason City on felony theft charges.  KICD reports that when Storm Lake police contacted law enforcement in Milwaukee, they located him “after an alleged physical altercation with the victim of a similar car theft scam he was attempting in Milwaukee.”  He was shipped to Iowa in August to face charges in Buena Vista county; he is set for a November 14 trial on the charge of felony first-degree theft.

Records show a “third party” posted a $1,000.00 bond for Litt on September 19. However, he was promptly taken into custody by Cerro Gordo county law enforcement. He was booked into the county jail on the morning of September 20 on two charges of first-degree theft and one charge of second-degree theft. Mason City chief of police Jeff Brinkley tells NIT that “Litt was charged with felony theft for acquiring a vehicle on a credit card transaction that was not approved” on July 5, 2017.

Litt entered a not-guilty plea, records show, and he will face jury trial on October 31.

LITT, TIMOTHY LAVELL

how could he use the card so many times and every time drove away and after they found the card no good?? don’t they run it right away, stupid salesman probably should get fired.

On the mean streets of Chiraq aka Chicago these bangers are up to stealing cars everyday. Once you start having car jackings in a city the doom is well entrenched. Let’s hope it does not arrive here on our doorstep. Big city crimes are appalling and spread fear to all.

How come the credit card machine approved it ? By the way he was’nt shipped to Iowa – he was bused to Mason City via CC – don’t remember greyhounds having sails. More deception by the democrap welfare/deciever party.

He did not try and rip off a MC car dealer, he did.
