MASON CITY – A man wanted in Missouri on drug charges was caught after a report at a local business for a fake $20 bill.
Mason City police were called to the Casey’s General Store, 610 South Monroe Avenue, on Thursday, September 7 at around 10:17 PM when a fake $20.00 bill was reported. After an investigation, police encountered 20-year-old Andrew Patterson Ray of Kansas City, Kansas, who they discovered was wanted in Missouri on drug charges. Further investigation showed Patterson was in possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested on the warrant and for possession of a controlled substance and taken to the county jail, where he remains held at this time.
