Clear Lake man dies in fatal motorcycle accident

RURAL CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake man was found dead Wednesday after an apparent motorcycle accident.

On September 6, 2017, Cerro Gordo deputies responded to a report of suspicious vehicles in the area of 270th Street and Eagle Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies found that the vehicles were friends of a missing person, who had not been seen since Saturday night or Sunday morning. Deputies assisted in a search of the area and located a single vehicle motorcycle accident at about 9:33 PM.

The driver, Nathan Lee Higgins, age 26 of Clear Lake, was found dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation by sheriff’s deputies and the Medical Examiner’s Office. Sheriffs Deputies were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Clear Lake Fire Department, and Mason City Fire Medics.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Clear Lake Fire Department, and Mason City Fire Medics.

If he had a cell phone the cops should have been able to find his location due to government spying.

If no one had seen him since Saturday/Sunday, how is it that his friends were in the area where he was found three days later. Seems kind of strange to me.

He leaves their house headed back to his house, they follow the most likely route and search along the way.

That’s possible, but there seems to be a lot of time between, last seen, and found.

I tip my hat.

Even with your ideals, there’s nothing funny about the loss of a life. I wonder how many people will laugh when you fade away.
