NIACC Homecoming set for September 16; theme is “Fields of Fun”

MASON CITY – Alumni, students, and the community are invited to the annual Fields of Fun Homecoming celebration at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) on Saturday, September 16.

The event begins at 9 am with Robert’s Run and concludes with the NIACC Trojans Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams taking on Indian Hills Community College. A variety of family fun activities will run throughout the day. A Digital Photo Booth, Funny T-Shirts, Wax Hands, Balloon Fun, and Totally Tattoos are just some of the activities that are planned (see schedule below).

“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy this day of free activities and entertainment,” said Terri Ewers, Vice President for Student Services at NIACC. “This is a perfect opportunity for people to come visit the beautiful NIACC campus, enjoy a delicious free lunch, see some of the progress taking place, and have some fun.”

NIACC Homecoming activities include:
· Saturday September 16 (Most events can be found in or in front of the Activity Center):
o 9:00 a.m. – Robert’s Run (check in begins at 7:45) You can register online at: www.robertsrun.com/
o 10:00 a.m. – NIACC Alumni Volleyball Match, Athletic team inter-squad scrimmages, Funny T-Shirts, Wax Hands, Balloon Fun, Totally Tattoos, Digital Photo Booth
o 11:00 a.m. – Free lunch – Activity Center (Limited to first 400)
o 2:00 p.m. – NIACC Men’s Soccer vs Indian Hills Community College
o NIACC Dance Team performing between Men’s and Women’s Soccer
o 4:00 p.m. – NIACC Women’s Soccer vs Indian Hills Community College
