IOWA CITY – University of Iowa football defensive back Manny Rugamba will not see action in Iowa’s opening football game of the season due to a one game suspension. The announcement was made Tuesday by head coach Kirk Ferentz.
“Manny will not play in our opening game due to serving the suspension, which is related to an off season team violation,” said Ferentz.
Iowa opens the season Saturday, Sept. 2, hosting Wyoming in Kinnick Stadium (11 a.m., BTN).
