Law enforcement seeks escaped Iowa robber

DES MOINES – A convicted Iowa robber recently sent to a work release facility has failed to return to the compound, leading to a search by law enforcement.

Clarence Willis, convicted of two counts of second-degree robbery in Polk County walked away from Fort Des Moines Residential Facility at 5:15 p.m. Monday.

Willis is a 67-year old Black male, height 5’11 and weighing 227 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on February 28, 2017.

Persons with information on Willis’s whereabouts should contact the local police.
