Nashua man arrested for slashing tires in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS – A Nashua man was arrested by Cedar Falls police for slashing tires in that community.

Christopher Paul Rumachik, age 31 of Nashua, is facing a charge of felony second-degree criminal mischief. Allegedly, he was witnessed and chased in Cedar Falls by residents who saw him slashing several tires on Wentling Street on Tuesday, July 18. After his license plate number was turned in to police, Rumachik was designated as the culprit and a warrant for his arrest was issued. He was picked up and arrested on July 20.

Rumachik was taken to the Black Hawk county jail, booked and soon released. He will face a hearing on July 28. He is also facing at this time a drunk driving charge in Chickasaw county.
