North Iowa Coaches Association Coaching Clinic set for Aug. 12

MASON CITY – The North Iowa Coaches Association Coaching Clinic, which is sponsored by NIACC athletics, is set for Aug. 12 on the NIACC campus.

This clinic has been approved by the Department of Education and can be used as a coaching authorization renewal activity.

The keynote speaker will be Mason City High girls basketball coach Curt Klaahsen. Also speaking will be Steve Mitchell of the Department of Education.

Sports that will be featured at the clinic will be baseball (NIACC coach Travis Hergert), basketball (NIACC women’s coach Todd Ciochetto, NIACC men’s coach Mark Mohl, West Hancock boys coach Brian Peterson), cross country (NIACC coach Curtis Vais, Mason City coach Tyler Ketelsen), soccer (NIACC women’s coach Leo Driscoll), softball (North Butler coach Jeff Stirling), volleyball (NIACC coach Chris Brandt and Osage coach Andie Olson) and wrestling (NIACC coach Steve Kelly).

The registration fee is $25, which includes lunch, and the registration deadline is July 31. Send checks to NIACC to NIACC athletics in care of NIACC athletic director Dan Mason at 500 College Drive, Mason City, Iowa 50401.
